First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe Statement on USDA Secretary’s Action to Weaken and Delay Child Nutrition Benchmarks

RICHMOND – Today in an event at Catoctin Elementary School in Leesburg, Va., U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue announced the USDA will delay full implementation of the nutrition standards passed into law by the 2010 Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act (HHFKA). Governor McAuliffe to Lead Trade and Marketing Mission to Mexico

RICHMOND – Governor Terry McAuliffe will lead a three-day trade and marketing mission to Mexico from May 1-4, 2017.  The Governor will be accompanied by Secretary of Commerce and Trade Todd Haymore, Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Basil Gooden, and representatives from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
