Craft Brewery Set To Open In Colonial Beach

A new craft brewer is set to open in Colonial Beach in the spring of 2017. Colonial Beach brewing will feature a small tasting room and patio seating. Owners Mark Turner and Ted Saffos are renovating the space on Washington Avenue.   Mark Turner said “We want to open a small brewery that takes chances on different styles and constantly cycles through the beer offered. ESSEX COUNTY- One person is dead after a single vehicle crash early Sunday morning (December 18) when the car they were driving ran off the road and struck a tree.  The crash occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m., on Route 619 (Sunnyside Road), 4/10 mile east of Route 650 (Hickory Hill Road) in Essex County.   Virginia State Police Master Trooper A. CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The Virginia High School League 2016 Group 2A All-State cheer team has been selected. Graham senior Carson Cooper and Graham head coach Debra Brewster were named 2A cheerleader of the year and 2A coach of the year after leading the G-Men to the 2A state title.
