A recent state audit critical of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries has prompted its director to make changes in senior management. Director Bob Duncan issued a brief statement Thursday saying he was “extremely disappointed” with the audit’s results and is taking immediate action to address the concerns. The statement didn’t disclose what personnel changes were made. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports Duncan and agency spokesman Lee Walker declined to elaborate on the changes. Walker and state auditor of public accounts Martha Mavredes say the audit will be released to the public Monday. Walker says the audit still needs to be examined by the General Assembly and Gov. Bob McDonnell’s administration, among others.
