A 19-year-old Dijon Lamour Whitter of Yorktown pleaded guilty yesterday (Tuesday) to shooting and killing another teen in a car full of friends last year.
The fatal shooting of 18 year-old Joshua Steven Morrison of Yorktown occurred on Jan. 17, 2016, in the Ware Neck area of Gloucester County when six young people were headed to a party. A 15-year-old girl from Yorktown and two 20-year-old men were wounded.
Whitter plead guilty to a charge of second-degree murder, two counts of malicious wounding, one count of aggravated malicious wounding and four counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Gloucester Circuit Judge Jeffrey Shaw will sentence Whitter on Dec. 11th.
