Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie reports that someone left a note stating that a


bomb would go off at Lancaster High School on Thursday.


This occurred around 10am when the sheriff’s office was contacted and students were


evacuated from the school.


Sheriff McCranie stated that investigators have identified a subject and the incident is


still being investigated. An arrest is forthcoming.


Students at the high school were dismissed at 11:30.


Lancaster County Deputies and Virginia State Police responded and a state police bomb
sniffing dog was called in and searched the building.
