The Southside Sentinel reports that 26 year-old Thomas Garrett Newborg of Gloucester has been charged in connection with the break-in and thefts that occurred at Marshall’s Drug in Urbanna around June 10th and 11th.


Newborg faces 10 felonies and a misdemeanor in Middlesex County and has received a court-appointed attorney, and is scheduled to appear in Middlesex General District Court for a preliminary hearing on August 7th.


Newborg also faces charges from Westmoreland County for the attempted break-in of the Rite-Aid Store in Montross on June 18th.


Westmoreland General District Court records indicate Newborg is charged with 4 felonies and 7 misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance. His arraignment is set for August 8.


Newborg was denied bond in Middlesex and remains in jail.
