Due to the inclement weather, the Saluda Residency VDOT office will now move to its temporary location on Jan. 17th. It was originally scheduled for yesterday, Monday Jan. 9th.  The temporary office is located 4.5 miles away from the current office facilities.  Office hours will remain 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The capital outlay project will demolish the current office building on General Puller Highway and build a new office space on the same land. The project will be advertised to bidders at the end of January, with construction expected to break ground in March 2017.  The Saluda Residency encompasses Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, Essex, King William and King & Queen counties. It has nearly 100 employees that are responsible for maintaining more than 1,700 miles of state roads.
