The Town of Irvington invites everyone who appreciates good old-fashioned family fun to visit the traditional “hometown parade” at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 4.

 

The Grand Marshal is Robert “Bob” Morrison, a West Point graduate and former chairman of the Irvington Planning Commission, will lead the parade.

 

The guest of honor will be Col. Harvey C. “Barney” Barnum Jr. who is a Medal Of Honor recipient. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps (1962 to 1989) and included service in Vietnam, the Philippines, Pearl Harbor and other U.S. postings.

 

There also will be special guest Rebecca Tebbs Nunn, Ms. Virginia Senior America 2016. She is vice mayor of Kilmarnock.

Nearly 100 entries will follow the parade route.
