HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (AP) — A Virginia brewing company is turning rainwater into beer.

The Virginian-Pilot reports that Pleasure House Brewing is planning to turn 300 gallons of drinkable rainwater into about 200 gallons of pilsner.

The brewing company is partnering with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and the beer will be available at the Foundation’s 50th anniversary celebration at the Brock Environmental Center.

The Brock Center has been turning rainwater into safe drinking water for years, but this is the first time the water will be used to brew beer.
