This is a reminder that the deadline to submit artwork for the 2025 Congressional Art Competition is Monday, April 28, 2025.

Each year, this nationwide competition provides high school students with the unique opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. The winning piece from Virginia’s First Congressional District will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year, alongside winning artwork from across the country. The first-place winner will also be invited to a special reception in Washington, D.C. to be recognized for their achievement.

Eligible submissions include paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, computer-generated art, and photography. All entries must be original in concept, design, and execution and must adhere to U.S. copyright laws.
