The application for Dominion Energy’s environmental grant is now open.  Nonprofits and educational organizations in the company’s service areas are encouraged to apply.  Eligible groups can earn up to $50,000 to support projects to improve the environment.  Plus, public and private K-12 schools can apply for grants up to $5,000 for environmental education programs.  The deadline is 5 p.m. Sept. 30.  To apply, go to dominionenergy.com/envirogrants.  Since 2003, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded nearly $40 million to projects that protect and improve the environment.
