Actor auditions for the Westmoreland Players’ Productions of TILT THE UNLIT CANDLE by Ben Clawson and ALMOST, MAINE by John Cariani will be held on Monday & Tuesday, August 28, and 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the Players Theatre in Callao, with call-backs if necessary on August 30.  Please RSVP at president@westmorelandplayers.org so we can plan the auditions more efficiently.  If you are unable to attend the scheduled auditions, contact us and we will attempt to accommodate your schedule.

Acting experience is not required.  Auditions will include cold readings from the scripts.
TILT THE UNLIT CANDLE is a quirky Christmas comedy that will run November 17 – December 3.  Directed by Dan Beckhard and Michelle Ayala

Synopsis:  It’s time for the annual Christmas Eve service in a small town at an even smaller church. Last year didn’t go well, and this year isn’t shaping up much better. The congregation is too old, the pastor is too green, and the choir is badly out of tune. Plus, there’s a drunk who refuses to get off the church steps. Spend the evening with these wacky revelers as they attempt to celebrate the holiday season and figure out just what the heck it is that they all seem to be searching for.
