In a release by Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie and posted on the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page, the sheriff stated that many citizens have inquired as to what was happening in the county on Thursday, January 4th.
He said that the sheriff’s office assisted the FBI with an investigation in which there is reportedly no imminent threat or danger to the public. Since the FBI is the agency in charge, they cannot release any further information. Sheriff McCranie said that it was his understanding that the FBI will have a press release on Monday, January 8.
The sheriff urged everyone to wait for the FBI to release the information they are willing to share to the public.
McCranie also said that rumors that two bodies were recovered in the Ottoman area are completely false.
