FYI Northern Neck is a monthly lecture series that highlights subjects of interest to the residents of the Northern Neck. The May lecture will be held on Thursday, May 16th, at 7 PM, in the parish hall of St. James Episcopal Church, in Montross.
Keith Kehlbeck, a writer and historian, will discuss his 2013 publication, “Gone to God: A Civil War Family’s Ultimate Sacrifice.” This book presents a factual account of the Civil War and its impact on the Northern Neck and its inhabitants. Told with diaries and letters written by soldiers and their family members during the war.
Admission is free, although shelf-stable donations to the St. James Food Pantry are always welcome. Light refreshments will greet guests and the doors open at 6:30 with the lecture beginning at 7 PM.
