Affordable Care Act insurance premiums for hundreds of thousands of Virginians are set to rise slightly on average next year but still remain below peaks hit in 2022, according to Julie Blauvelt, deputy commissioner of insurance.
She told a State Corporation Commission hearing that Bureau of Insurance reviews of health insurer filings in various parts of the state show individual Obamacare premiums next year will rise an average of 3.8% from this year’s level, to an average of $498.89 a month.
