Rappahannock Community College’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning (RILL) is excited to announce that there are spaces available in its upcoming course, “Microsoft Word: Tips for Productive Usage.” This course is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to enhance their productivity and mastery of Microsoft Word.

Starting on November 12, this hands-on course will run for four sessions on Tuesdays—November 12, 19, 26, and December 3—from 1 PM to 3 PM at Rappahannock Community College’s Warsaw campus. Participants will learn essential features of Microsoft Word 2019, including the backstage view option, how to add page numbers, headers and footers, and tips for correcting spelling and grammar errors. Advanced functionalities, such as inserting tables, controlling document formatting with a ruler, and customizing text and images, will also be covered.

Instructor Martin Bailey, a seasoned expert with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in computer science from Virginia Tech, brings a wealth of knowledge from his career at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren. His background in computer programming and database management will provide students with valuable insights into the software.

The course is priced at $45, but residents of Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury can register for just $10, while Blue Ridge Bank Golden Advantage members receive a 15% discount. Computers will be available for use during the class, but students are welcome to bring their own laptops.

Advance registration and tuition payment are required. For more information about this course or to explore other offerings from RILL, please contact Brittany Abdul-Malik at bjenkins@rappahannock.edu or visit www.rappahannock.edu/rill to register online.
