WASHINGTON – Congressman Rob Wittman (R-VA-01) and Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (D-IL-14), co-chairs of the Congressional Public Health Caucus, announced the introduction of a House Concurrent Resolution commending public health professionals for their dedication and service to the United States.
“Before serving in Congress, I earned a master’s degree in public health and spent over 26 years working for the Virginia Department of Health,” said Congressman Wittman. “Public health professionals play a central and significant role in ensuring our nation’s health and safety, and their strength and resilience in the face of extreme challenges is one of the many factors that makes our nation an incredible place to call home. Recognizing these dedicated individuals through this resolution on Public Health Thank You Day 2024 is the least we can do to honor the service and sacrifice of our public health professionals.”
