Virginia State Police is looking to mitigate dangerous driving along Interstate 95 through Operation DISS-rupt. The program will run along all 179 miles of the interstate from Sunday to Monday.
DISS stands for distracted driving, impaired driving, speeding and seat belt safety.
Operation DISS-rupt’s goal is to achieve zero fatal crashes during designated enforcement periods and to reduce the total number of crashes on Virginia’s interstates by 10% for the calendar year.
