Kings Dominion is closing another decades-old ride. The park is removing Berserker, a Viking ship that swings back and forth like a pendulum and eventually flips riders upside down 100 feet in the air.

It opened in 1984.

It is the second ride to close at Kings Dominion, following Anaconda, a looping steel roller coaster that opened in 1991. The Hanover County park will debut a new coaster, Rapterra, this spring. Kings Dominion turns 50 years old in 2025.
