Rappahannock Community College’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning (RILL) invites you to “go back to school” with a variety of classes, from flower arranging to geography and history; personal development to pickleball. The modest tuition fee ranging from $20 to $45 for classes helps support a scholarship for a student at RCC.
Get started on writing your novella or memoir. “Writing the Great American Novella,” offers insights into writing techniques and more. Held on RCC’s Warsaw campus on March 3, 10, and 17. “Memoir: Inventing the Truth,” taught by popular RILL instructor Gail Kenna, delves into the literary genre of the memoir through lectures, discussions, and writing. The class will be held in Kilmarnock on May 8, 15, 22, and 29.
“Arranging with Spring Flowers,” will brighten your life through hands-on arranging using daffodils, tulips, spring branches, and other seasonal flowers. Take home a professional arrangement on March 26 on the Warsaw campus.
Get practical tips and help navigating your computer operating system in “Introduction to Windows 11.” The hands-on class, held on the Warsaw campus March 4, 11, 18, and 25, will familiarize you with file and folder organization and management, internet and email, and more while building your confidence.
What role does geography play in planning and executing military operations? Find out in “Military Geography and Warfighting,” on March 31, April 7, and 14 on RCC’s Glenns campus. More history will be explored in “The Glorious and Influential Reign of Louis XIV of France,” in Irvington on April 8, 15, and 22; “Civil War Prisons and Prison Camps,” on May 6, 13, and 20 also in Irvington; and “Virginia in 1775,” on June 4, 11, and 18 at Historic Christ Church and Museum in Weems.

Think you know the evolution of Rock ‘n Roll? Discover more about the genre that transformed the musical landscape through discussion, stories, art, and performances. This engaging class will be held in Warsaw on April 3, 10, and 17.
Rounding out the fun are beginner and intermediate pickleball classes on the tennis courts in Warsaw. The beginner class is June 2, 6, 9, and 13; intermediate class will follow on June 16, 20, 23, and 27.
