Legislation to extend a helping hand to foster care youth who have aged out of the system died in the Senate Finance Committee Tuesday, after sailing through the House of Delegates with unanimous support.
The committee and its resources subcommittee acted with almost no comment and without hearing any testimony about the proposal from Del. Anne Ferrell Tata, R-Virginia Beach.
