WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Bobby Scott, D-3rd, doesn’t talk like a candidate for governor.

Scott, the dean of Virginia’s congressional delegation after 32 years in the House of Representatives, is not emphatic when asked whether he is still considering entering the race for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination against former Rep. Abigail Spanberger, D-7th.

But he said Thursday, “If I were running, I wouldn’t be keeping it a secret.”
