FREDERICKSBURG – Travelers on Route 30 between the Town of West Point and New Kent County may experience brief delays crossing the Eltham Bridge over the Pamunkey River next week due to a routine, scheduled bridge inspection.
Test drawbridge openings will occur on Eltham Bridge between 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 and 2 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, and again from 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7 and 2 a.m. Thursday, May 8. Traffic between West Point and New Kent will be stopped for multiple 15-minute intervals, then cleared between each test drawbridge opening.
Work has been scheduled, weather permitting.
