Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares on Wednesday touted his widespread support from sheriffs across Virginia who back his law-and-order message and endorse his reelection campaign.
At a campaign event in downtown Richmond, Miyares announced he has the support of 78 Virginia sheriffs. Miyares’ Democratic opponent, former Del. Jay Jones, D-Norfolk, has been endorsed by three sheriffs.
