The University of Virginia has named a former law school dean and current law professor as its interim president following President Jim Ryan’s June resignation under pressure from the Trump administration.
On Aug. 11, about two weeks before the start of the new academic year, Paul Mahoney will replace UVa COO J.J. Davis, who was named acting president after Ryan’s departure.
