More than 200 birds were recovered from what law enforcement described as a cockfighting operation in Virginia Beach.
In total, 213 birds were released to the VBPD Animal Services Bureau.
Evidence from the scene is being evaluated by the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office for a review to determine if any charges will be brought.
