Gov. Glenn Youngkin says he will not submit further appointments to state boards and commissions to the General Assembly for confirmation until January.
That is when the legislature convenes its regular 60-day session.
Richard Cullen, the governor’s legal counselor, informed the chairs of the Senate and House of Delegates privileges and elections committees on Tuesday that state law does not require the governor to submit his appointments to the legislature for approval when they remain in special session, as they are now.
