Democrat Abigail Spanberger raised $12.5 million in September to $9.1 million for Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, according to campaign finance data from the Virginia Public Access Project.
Spanberger ended the month with $5.37 million in cash on hand for the homestretch to $1.6 million for Earle-Sears.
