It’s a Virginia tradition in the days after an election that the outgoing governor shows the governor-elect around the house the newcomer will live in for the next four years.

And with a welcome-to-your-new-home lunch, featuring crabcakes and Virginia wine, Gov. Glenn Youngkin and first lady Suzanne Youngkin did just that Thursday for Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger and her husband, Adam, before all four came out to the steps of the Executive Mansion on a crisp, blue-sky fall day to exchange final hugs.
