A man was found dead in his cell after what is believed to have been an attack from his cellmate, Virginia’s prison system announced Tuesday.
In a release that does not identify the man or his suspected attacker, the Virginia Department of Corrections said the attack occurred early in the morning at Greensville Correctional Center, the state’s largest all-male prison.
He was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m. after first responders arrived at the prison, the agency said.
