After an immigration arrest that saw agents break a car window to detain a Honduran construction worker, Del. Mike Jones, D-Richmond, promised to try and make it illegal for federal agents to conduct their business while wearing face masks in Virginia.

In November, Jones made good on that promise with the introduction of legislation that seeks to mostly prohibit law enforcement from wearing facemasks in the commonwealth. The bill will be considered in the next session of the General Assembly, which kicks off in January.
