Virginia Commonwealth University has named another interim provost while it searches for a long-term replacement.
Dr. Arturo Saavedra, dean of the medical school, will become the university’s top academic leader starting Dec. 24. He succeeds Beverly Warren, who has been interim provost since June, and whose departure was previously planned.
