Exactly one month from her inauguration as Virginia’s next governor, Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger sought Wednesday to reassure a business community rattled by the pullback in federal spending and employment under President Donald Trump.
Spanberger, speaking to the members of Virginia FREE and a throng of current and former state legislators, said she would work with Trump on shared priorities and stand up to him when his policies threaten the interests of Virginians.
