Those who like to watch the comings and goings of osprey in Colonial Beach will be able to get a better look at what’s happening in one of the town’s 55 nests.
On Wednesday, a crew from Dominion Energy installed a new 40-foot pole with a 25-pound camera to get a bird’s-eye view of the osprey platform next to the Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department. The equipment replaces a nest-cam that had a fraction of the size and capabilities of the new version.
