The FBI Norfolk Field Office has connected Alan Wade Wilmer, Sr. of Lancaster County to the killing of two additional victims in the long-running Colonial Parkway murders investigation.
Following persistent investigation and forensic technology, the FBI determined Wilmer, who died in 2017, murdered 27 year-old Cathleen Thomas and 21 year old Rebecca Dowski in 1986. Their bodies were eventually discovered inside their vehicle along the Colonial Parkway. The case had remained unsolved for decades.
Wilmer is now connected to at least six murders and disappearances of young people in Colonial Parkway between 1986 and 1989.
