With less than a week to go, now comes the heavy lift at the General Assembly.
More than 1,600 bills are still pending, and so far, only a few more than 400 are all the way through both the House of Delegates and the state Senate and are waiting for Gov. Abigail Spanberger to pick them up to start the seven-day clock ticking for her to act. She’s signed seven bills into law and sent recommended changes back on three.
