A Roanoke County family has filed a lawsuit against the Virginia High School League and Roanoke County School Board, challenging the constitutionality of Virginia’s rule prohibiting homeschool students from participating in high school athletics.
Daniel and Stacie Palmer homeschool their ninth grade son, Samuel, an avid runner who is seeking to compete on his local high school’s track and cross country teams.
