Gov. Abigail Spanberger signed into law on Monday four pieces of legislation that solidify several big business deals the previous governor, Glenn Youngkin, made with firms such as Eli Lilly and AstraZeneca to bring them to Virginia.

The $7.1 billion in business investment should bring more than 3,000 new jobs to the commonwealth, according to the governor’s office.
