Christchurch School Summer Programs is pleased to announce the addition of Adventure Sailing on the River Day Camp to its summer lineup.
Adventure Sailing on the River campers will enjoy a hands-on sailing experience learning new skills, building resilience, and gaining confidence on the water in a safe and structured environment.
Activities include expedition sailing, seamanship, exploration, reliance, problem-solving skills, and more! Homebase for the camp will be the Clyde V. Kelly IV Sailing Pavilion on the school’s waterfront. Campers will set sail on the Rappahannock River.

Although Adventure Sailing on the River Camp is new, Christchurch is not new to the world of sailing.
The school is nationally known and well-respected for its program, which includes learn-to-sail, JV, and its highly competitive varsity team.
In 2019, the Christchurch sailing team won the National Team Racing Championship, and the school is set to host the 2026 National Team Racing Championship for the Baker Trophy this May.
Christchurch is affiliated with the Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA), the Mid-Atlantic Scholastic Sailing Association (MASSA), and the Virginia Interscholastic Sailing Association (VISA).
