Jamaica, VA – It may have been cold outside, but the action on the track during the Powertrain Control Solutions Eddie Boomhower Memorial presented by whosYourDriver.org, RVA Flat Track motorcycle was hot. Sixteen amateur and pro divisions put on a phenomenal show for the fans in attendance.
Yamaha rider Aidan Roosevans of O’Fallon, Illinois used the racey surface to its full potential, sweeping the DASH for CASH and features in both the 450 PRO, and the Open PRO classes.
Also grabbing wins during the Eddie Boomhower Memorial were Shawn Baer in the Hooligans class, Don Bromley in Pro Twins, Skylar Sentell in Open AM and 450 AM, Adam Costan in 250 AM, John Pero in Vintage Heavy, Charlie Roberts in Vintage Light, Rick Winsell, Jr in the 30+ and Dave Kilkenny in 50+, Tim Norris in Mad Dog, Ella Nickens in 50cc, Jayden Nickens in 65cc, and Jayden Nickens in 85cc.
The speedway will host Pepsi Opening Night of Dirt Series Championship weekly racing this Saturday, April 13. See the Victory Lap Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified, and Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers Limited Stock Car divisions in some exciting side-by-side action.
Competitor gates for Saturday, April 13th will open at 1 PM for inspection and registration, with spectator gates opening at 5 pm. On-track activities will begin at 5:30 pm for practice/hot laps.
Bring your portable radio headset and enjoy hearing the call of all the action on the track by tuning into 95.5 FM on your radio dial.
Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a ½ mile dirt oval track located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA, and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland, and the Hampton Roads area.
