Virginia State Police are investigating a crash in Amelia County that resulted in the death of a 61-year-old woman driving a U.S. postal truck.
State police said a 1993 Chevrolet S-10 postal truck driven by Sandra E. Smith, of Amelia, ran off the road to the right, overcorrected and struck trees on the left side of the road.
Police said Smith was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene.
