Sen. Lamont Bagby, D-Henrico, chair of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus, announced Wednesday that he is running to be the next chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia.
Susan Swecker, who has held the post for a decade, announced Monday that she will step down in March.
