Bay Transit, the public transportation division of Bay Aging, is pleased to announce that “Fare Free Fridays” on the VCU Health Rivah Ride in Tappahannock are here for you! “We started Fare Free Fridays on the VCU Health Rivah Ride earlier this month in an effort to help our riders save a little money,” said Bay Transit Director Ken Pollock. “If you need to run errands before the weekend, Fare Free Fridays is the way to get them completed without incurring any transportation expenses,” Pollock added.

Bay Transit’s VCU Health Rivah Ride operates Monday through Friday from 7 AM until 4 PM. The VCU Health Rivah Ride safely and cost-effectively connects you to the grocery store, shopping, doctor visits, VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital, the post office, and many more services throughout Tappahannock. Fare Free Fridays are available to all Rivah Ride customers at any time each Friday. Come see what hundreds of other Tappahannock residents already know: The Rivah Ride is the way to go!

The VCU Health Rivah Ride route serves the VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital Emergency Room on its southern end, operating onto Highway 17 / Church Lane to serve shopping centers such as the Essex Square Shopping Center and the White Oaks Shopping Center, as well as big box retailers including Lowe’s and Walmart. The route continues via Highway 17 / Tidewater Trail to serve the Tappahannock Town Center, the local post office, the library, and several multifamily apartments, including the Derbyshire and Tanyard Apartments, and the Fox Chase Apartments.
