The company that’s building what it says will be the world’s largest indoor vertical farm in Chesterfield County has filed for bankruptcy protection, seeking breathing space while it reorganizes.

Plenty Unlimited, which launched the project with much fanfare and a $2.4 million grant from state’s Commonwealth’s Development Opportunity Fund, said it will continue to operate its Chesterfield facility through the bankruptcy process.
