Cantorion, Christchurch School’s choir, performed at the Busch Gardens Music Festival on Saturday, November 16. The festival is an opportunity for school groups to receive an assessment and evaluation from an outside panel of experienced instrumental and choral educators.

Cantorion earned a rating of “Excellent” and brought home a plaque which they presented to Head of School Billy Coyle in assembly on Monday.

Cantorion is a full year course open to all students. It is a non-auditioned ensemble that provides students with a valid choral experience and performance participation both on and off campus. Students learn foundational vocal technique. Basic musicianship and performance etiquette are core topics of study and experience in the course.

Christchurch’s vocal instructor is Regan Sprenkle.
