Virginia’s voters started heading to the polls Friday, the first day of in-person early voting in the state’s November elections. In addition to the statewide contests for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, all 100 seats in the House of Delegates are up for election.

Both candidates for governor, Democrat Abigail Spanberger and Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, made Richmond-area appearances on Friday, the first day of early voting — Spanberger in Henrico and Earle-Sears at a Chesterfield stop with the full GOP ticket and Vivek Ramaswamy, a former GOP presidential hopeful who is running next year for governor of Ohio.
