An effort by pharmacists to put guardrails around the herbal supplement kratom has hit the skids.
On Wednesday, the Virginia Board of Pharmacy elected to take no action on a request made in April by a Hampton Roads pharmacist. In that request, pharmacist Jennifer Nicole Brandt asked that the board make kratom a Schedule I drug.
