Free Lecture: Shipwrecks of the Potomac & Chesapeake

FYI Northern Neck is a community fellowship mission of St. James Episcopal Church, Montross. On Thursday, Sept. 17th at 6:30pm you can enjoy a free lecture entitled Shipwrecks of the Potomac & Chesapeake. Steve Merritt’s presentation covers the dive scene of the 1980s and 1990s, a period when many shipwrecks were discovered and regularly explored.  The lecture will feature artifacts and pictures from an earlier era when maritime disasters occurred more frequently during times of both war and peace, focusing on the human experiences of those on board.
