Westmoreland County’s Household Hazardous Waste Spring collection will take place at the A. T. Johnson Building parking lot in Montross on Saturday, May 16 from 8am-12pm.
For the first time, residents & property owners can bring their household electronic items for collection. This includes, TVs, computers, stereos, and much more! The Sheriff’s office will be present to collect prescription drugs for proper disposal. The collection is limited to Westmoreland County residents and property owners only.
Westmoreland County residents and property owners are asked to bring old household chemicals such as oil-based paint, cleaners, solvents, old or used petroleum products (including mower and boat gas), pool chemicals, pesticides and spent florescent and CFL bulbs. Residents should not bring ammunition, radioactive materials, tires, car batteries, medical waste, or prescription drugs.
