The Writers Guild of Virginia and Rappahannock Art League are pleased to announce that Mathews, Virginia resident and children’s book author Maurine Frank will be the guest speaker at their Second Saturday Social on July 13, 2024, from 5-7 pm. This free event will be held at the RAL Art Center in Kilmarnock and will feature a panel discussion on writing and choosing children’s books. Award-winning author and educator Ann Eichenmuller will host the panel.
Joining the panel will be smART Youth Coordinator Stephanie Antonijuan and the talented teen artists from the Teen Art Camp. They will share their experiences and perspectives on the importance of art in children’s books and how it can enhance storytelling.
